Costs are continuing to rise, so now’s the time to learn how to save money on food. Following these tips will help you start saving in no time!

Walmart Grocery Pickup is seriously a life-changer! You order fresh groceries, Walmart does the shopping and loads your car for FREE. This is a great service, especially if you don’t feel like getting out of your car and no coupons required! Save money with $10 just to try it: Walmart Grocery

You can thank me later.

Ibotta is a great app to help save money. You can redeem rebates by purchasing participating items, upload your receipt and earn cash back. There are bonuses each month so you can get free money just for using the app. At times you can find rebates for things like any brand milk, bananas and more helping stretch your savings further!

Shopping online? Check out Ibotta before your purchase to see available cash back for the online store!

You can also find rebates for things like alcohol, hotels, gas stations and gasoline, food, household supplies, medicine and more!

Using Target Cartwheel is a great way to save money on food. You can find percentage off deals as high as 50% off on items sold at Target. This app is now integrated with the Target app. On top of using Target Cartwheel, you can stack one manufacturer and one store coupon with an eligible item helping you save even more money. Deals can change so keep an eye on the expiration dates and exclusions.

Target allows you to use Cartwheel deals on 4 identical items per transaction and 6 Cartwheel transactions per day. If it’s a manufacturer coupon it can only be used once on one item.

Make sure to add the items to your Cartwheel and have the cashier scan your in-app barcode at checkout. If you use self-checkout you can use the handheld to scan your phone before finishing the transaction.

Don’t have a Target REDcard? You can get 5% off all Target purchases in-stores and online with the debit or credit card. The debit card connects to your checking account and acts like a bank card, no credit check required!

Using coupons is a great way to save money on food. Pair a coupon with a store sale and you have maximum savings.

There are a few different ways you can get coupons. Either from a newspaper or printing them online.

The #1 resource for online printable coupons is Coupons.com with others like Savings.com to follow.

For newspaper coupons I recommend getting a subscription. You can find over 400 newspaper subscriptions discounted through Discounted Newspapers, saving you on the newsstand price or subscription direct through your paper company.

Shopping online? You can find online deals for food too!

UPDATE: Zaycon Fresh has suspended Business operations as of 06/25/2018 with no update.

Zaycon Fresh is known for delivering farm fresh meat to families at unbeatable prices. They use group buying power to provide the deals and stack them with coupon codes and you’ve got great meat at super great prices.

Because of the buying power required to keep prices low, the meat does come in bulk. An order of double-lobed chicken breast comes in a 40 pound case, separated in 4 bags inside the case. Because of the amazing quality and great prices I buy two 40 pound cases once every 6 months. It’s enough to last my family of 4 until the next pickup.

Other items I purchase and love is their bacon, sausage links, ground beef, chicken fritters (the kids love these) and beef hot dogs.

Creating a free account lets you see available pickup locations and available options for that location. If Zaycon Fresh is not in your area, but you would like them to deliver, you can try to get others in your area interested as well. If enough people want to order, they may be able to add a stop near you. I’m located in the midwest and my area has 2 pickup locations.

Food Saver I use: FoodSaver V2244 Vacuum Sealing System with Starter Kit

Pressure canner I use: PRESTO 01755 16 Quart Aluminum Pressure Canner Cooker
